How It All Began
Our journey with the Pirates started before the pandemic when we connected with Jackie and Ian Turley, the heartbeat of the team. We offered some tubs of protein and pre-workout to help the team perform at their best during games. It was a small gesture, but one that planted the seed for a long-term relationship.
When lockdowns hit, we kept in touch. Ian joined our podcast, sharing his pride in the Pirates, their storied history, and plans for a strong comeback post-COVID. His passion was infectious, and it cemented our admiration for the team.
Post-COVID Collaboration
Once the world opened up again, we resumed our support, providing protein products for a few games. But this season marked a real turning point. After introducing the team to our Hydrator powder, the feedback was incredible.
The players loved the blue raspberry flavour, likening it to nostalgic blue ice-poles from their childhood. This sparked an idea: why not create a custom Hydrator blend just for the Pirates? Fast forward, and their bespoke-labelled Hydrator is now fuelling them for the next ten games. It’s exclusive to the team and a testament to how much we value this partnership.
